Clean Ship
While Ponant has instituted the traditional practices of limiting single-use plastics on board their ships and maximizing water recycling, they have gone beyond this and created the most environmentally friendly fleet of cruise ships in the world.
As of 2020, 100% of their ships have either the CLEANSHIP or the CLEANSHIP SUPER label and they are all fitted with electric propulsion systems that limit emissions and produce lower levels of noise and vibrations to protect the ocean life and ecosystems that they sail within.
The cruise line didn’t stop there though, as we move into the 20’s Ponant is looking forward to the future of cruising and has designed, built, and sailed Le Commandant Charcot, a ship that embodies their commitment to sustainable tourism.
