If you are looking for a luxury boutique hotel in Rome, look no further than The First Roma Arte. This former palazzo is now a 29-room hotel filled with contemporary art and an enviable location in the heart of the Eternal City.
Rome has no shortage of hotels to pick from, but the new First Roma Arte should be a definite contender for your next Italy trip. First off, the property was originally a 19th century palazzo but is now a luxury boutique hotel thanks to renovations in 2011. The new renovations combined with the historic background make this newcomer a standout.
In contrast to many traditional Italian hotels, this boutique hotel in Rome is contemporary in design. The hotel showcases a variety of original art pieces curated by Galleria Mucciaccia, spread throughout the common spaces. With its many exhibits, the lounge and entryway feel like a small private gallery for your enjoyment. Additionally, you will find more artworks showcased in the rooms, along with a description of the artist and their inspiration. Despite all of the art, the hotel still maintains a relaxed “living room” feel, though that could be due to the welcome glass of prosecco you receive on arrival!
The hotel offers 29 rooms and suites, all designed to feel like an aristocratic home. While all of the rooms are lovely, my favorite is the Jacuzzi Suite. This romantic room features a private terrace with breathtaking views of Rome. For those needing a little more space, we can also arrange connecting rooms at The First Roma, making this a great choice for families.
